Zachary A. Sowards, 19, of Sissonville, went to be with the Lord Friday, Jan. 4, 2008.
Zach loved spending time hunting, fishing, golfing and working on the farm with his father. Most importantly, he loved the time he had with his baby girl, Heidi.
Zachary was preceded in death by his grandfather, Dale Haynes.
He is survived by a daughter, Heidi N. Sowards; parents, Mark A. and Jami L. Sowards; sister, Kyla L. Bailey and her husband Larry; nieces, Chloe and Alara "Shae" Bailey; paternal grandparents, Don and Wilma Sowards of Charleston; maternal grandparents, Phyllis and David Edens of Sissonville, and Margaret Haynes of Kentuck. He is also survived by a host of special friends that were very dear to him, especially Nicole Donley of Sissonville.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Long and Fisher Funeral Home with the Rev. Al Mendez officiating. Burial will follow in the Sissonville Memorial Gardens, Sissonville.
