Sr. Msgt.William E. Scragg, 72, 0f Sissonville passed away Wednesday February 4, 2009 at Marietta Memorial Hospital of a short illness.
He was retired form the WV Air National Guard with over 30 years service.
He was a Christian and member of the Kanawha Two-Mile Gospel Tabernacle.
He served the church on the Board of Directors, Trustee, Sunday School Teacher , Bible School Teacher and Pianist. He also played the piano and sang with the Gospel Tone Quartet for over 50 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents:Rev. Charles and Ruth Scragg, brother Thomas Scragg, Step Mother: Effie Scragg.
He is survived by wife: Isabell Anderson Scragg of Sissonville. Sister: Patricia Hermansdorfer of Sissonville Brother: Orville Scragg of Charleston, WV Step Mother: Mary Nan Scragg of South Charleston, WV Nephews: Shawn and Brent Scragg Nieces: Judy Proctor, Karen Clendenin, and Nancy. Mrs, Scragg''s Nieces: Bethany Daley, Charla Magna Nephews: Chad and Nathan Carpenter And a host of Relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Sunday February 8, 2009 at the Kanawha Two Mile Gospel Tabernacle with the Rev. Earl Cochran and officiating.
Burial will follow in the Jenkins Memorial Cemetery, Rich Fork of Kanawha Two Mile.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 PM Saturday at the Long and Fisher Funeral Home.
