William "Bill" Riley Blankenship 64, of Charleston passed away on January 26, 2024 at home after a short battle with cancer. He was born on January 9, 1960 in Charleston, WV, to the late Rev. Walter R. and Ruth E. Blankenship.

Bill was a lifelong resident of Sissonville, WV. He was employed by Kanawha County Board of Education at Crede from 1977 to his retirement in 2021. Bill was an avid horseman showing and winning countless awards through the years. He was a member of Elk River Boots and Saddle Club of Blue Creek.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife and companion of 34 years Alice Hardman, daughter Chasity Adkins, and two grandchildren, brother Donald (Becky) Blankenship of Joplin, MO, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 2, 2024 with the service immediately following at Floral Hills Garden of Memories Mausoleum with Pastor Robbie Holmes officiating.
