Obituary
William Brown Matthews, 70, of Sissonville passed away peacefully at Hubbard Hospice House on Wednesday, August 30, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. William was an avid WVU sports fan and was lucky in playing the WV lottery.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Elizabeth Matthews; brothers, Ransford and Jerry Matthews; and sister, Melva Matthews.
William will be missed by his brother, Roger Matthews; sisters, Carrie Dean (Ron), and Glenna Parsons (Sattis); daughter, Heather James; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Long & Fisher Funeral Home.
