Vlasta C. Tate, 81, of Charleston, formerly of Czech Republic, passed away at Cedar Ridge Center on February 11, 2008.
She was a caring Mother, and Grandmother. She worked hard to raise her children, and never met a stranger. She worked delivering meals on wheels, was a janitor at Kanawha Valley Bank, and volunteered at Health Rite. She was also a longtime member of Valley Christian Assembly, Charleston.
She was preceded in death by: husband, Louie E. Tate; and son, Louis J. Tate.
Survived by: sons and daughter-in-laws, Frank and Helen Tate, Donald and Cheryl Tate, and Jack and Diane Tate; Daughters, Rosanna Tate and Vivian Tate; 12 Grandchildren, and many great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2pm Wednesday, February 13 at John Beane Cemetery, Sissonville with Pastor Philip Dunn officiating.
