Terry A. McFarland, 65, of Sissonville passed away October 3, 2009 at home after a sudden illness.
Terry was employed by Myers Transfer and Storage with 30 years service. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 519. Terry enjoyed automobile racing, watching football games. Terry especially loved his family and his companion Wanita.
Preceded in death by parents, Ivan McFarland, and Ellen Thaxton Arthur; infant son, Terry McFarland, Jr. sister, Phyllis Pritt, Glenna Young; and a niece, Bobbie Givens.
Left to cherish his memory is his sister, Linda Teel of Big Chimney; son, Billy Joe McFarland; one grandson; companion, Wanita Bailey of Sissonville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The Funeral Service will be 2pm Thursday October 8 at Long and Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville with Pastor Richard Parsons Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in McFarland Cemetery, Tupper''s Creek.
A gathering of family and friends will be 6-9pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
