Tamara (Tami) Jane Wines, age 61, of Lewis Center, Ohio, passed away peacefully June 14, 2024, after an eight-year battle with kidney disease. She was born July 26, 1962, in Waverly, Ohio to Noal Gene and Joyce Marlena Wines, who have preceded her in death.
Tami was raised in Parkersburg, West Virginia and is a graduate of Parkersburg South High School (1980). She obtained her Bachelor of Arts from West Virginia University and worked for many years at Charleston Area Medical Center as both a pharmacy technician and program analyst and with Siemens as a program analyst.
Tami is the youngest of three siblings and is survived by her brother Noal Kem Wines (Penny) and sister Joyce Theresa (Terri) Wines; her niece Georgann Elizabeth (Wines) Mazzoli (Michael); her nephew Todd Christopher Wines (Jill); and her four great-nephews, whom she loved and cared for deeply, Vincent Mazzoli, Roman Mazzoli (godson), Silas Wines, and Nolan Mazzoli.
Tami loved quilting and spent many, many hours with her sister at the kitchen table working together on hundreds of beautiful quilts, one of which won 4th place at the West Virginia Quilting Competition and others that were hung at multiple state shows, including Ohio and Texas. She has passed along this love of quilting to her niece and great-nephews. Tami loved travelling, including visits to 42 states and seven countries. She dabbled in photography and many of her pictures from travel adourn family walls, including memories from her favorite trip to England and Scotland. Tami was a pro with hairspray and went through many a can of TRESsemme throughout the years!
Please join us celebrating her life from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Floral Hills Garden of Memories Mausoleum on Friday, June 21, 2024.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donation to be made to your favorite charity or church.
