Steven C. "Stevie" Slater, 33, passed away suddenly on June 13, 2013. He was born November 5, 1979 in Charleston, WV.

Stevie loved his family, every last one of them, especially his son. He was a graduate of Sissonville High School, loved sports and Hello Kitty.

He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Papa Willie and Mama May Slater; paternal Grandpa, Collett Fisher; grandpa Oscar Green; uncle Hubie Fisher; Aunt Wanda Gibson, nieces Chelsey and Katie McCormick and cousin Randy Wickline.

Those left to cherish his memory are son, Ethan Shaffer; mother, Tammy Slater; father and second mother, Steve and Karen Fisher; sisters, Kara Beth McCormick, Amber Pettry, Jeannie McCormick; paternal grandmother, Erma Dean; grandmother, Loretta Green; long time friend Lee Whorley and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Service will be Noon, Tuesday, June 18 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville with Pastor Johnny "JJ" Lane officiating. Burial will follow in Slater Cemetery, Tuppers Creek.

Friends may call from 6 - 8 PM Monday, June 17 at the funeral home.
