Steven James Boggess, 51, of Sissonville went to higher ground on Monday, February 17 in CAMC Memorial after a sudden illness.

Steven was an Army Veteran and served in the Iraq war. He had also worked at the South Central Regional Jail. Steven''s passion was writing. He authored the Book "The search for Noahs Ark" in 2010.

Steven was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Mary Boggess.

Left to cherish his memory are loving wife, Donna Boggess at home; children, Christopher Boggess of Clay and Sierra Boggess of Elkview; brother, Scott Boggess of Sissonville; grandson, Austin Michael; and numerous cousins.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 21 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville with Pastor David Bragg officiating. Burial will follow in the Boggess Family Cemetery, Trace Fork, Sissonville.

A gathering of family and friends will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
