Steven Darrell Ashby, 42, of Pelion, South Carolina, formerly of Sissonville passed away October 9, 2009.
Steven was an Independent Contractor who enjoyed fishing and especially loved his family.
Survived by: wife, Lisa Ashby at home; children, Lance Ashby and his wife, Alisha, and Ryan Ashby all of Columbia, SC; father, Darrell Ashby and his wife, Sharon, of Pocatalico; mother, Gloria Barber and her husband, Burt, of Columbia, SC; grandmother, Arvie Ashby of Pocatalico; brothers, Brian Sowards and his wife, Pat of Charleston, Barry Sowards and his wife, Tiffany, of Columbia, SC, and Shane Martin and his wife, Emily, of Georgia; sister, Lisa Henry of Houston, TX; nieces and nephews, Tyler Sowards, Kayla Sowards, Corey McConihay, Caleb McNeely, and Tristan Hinchman.
The Funeral Service will be 2pm Wednesday, October 14 at Long and Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville. Burial will follow in Ashby Cemetery, Alan Creek, Cicerone Route.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 6-8pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
