Clarence Stonestreet, Jr.
February 23, 1939 – May 9, 2019
Staunton "Stantie" Clarence Stonestreet, Jr., age 80, of Charleston, died May 9, surrounded by family, after a short illness. He was born in Charleston and was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley, and his parents, Staunton and Mabel. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Nancy Lou Stonestreet. Also surviving are his son Randy and wife Kelly, his son Steve and wife Cindy; his grandchildren, Andrew Stonestreet and wife Lee, Adam Stonestreet and wife Maria, Maggie Dockery and husband Andrew, Anne Marie Stonestreet, Sara Stonestreet; and his three great grandsons, Jack and William Dockery, and Beckett Stonestreet. Also surviving are his sisters Ruth Serino, and Nancy Walls, and brother Keith Stonestreet. Also surviving are nieces and nephews. Stantie retired as a chemical operator at the Institute Plant. He was an active member of Crossroads Community Church. He was always attentive to the needs of others. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family is comforted knowing that he is in Heaven with his Savior. Service will be 2:00 pm Saturday, May 11 at Long and Fisher Funeral Home in Sissonville. Visitation will begin at 1:00pm. Burial will immediately follow after the service at Tyler Mount Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contribution to Union Mission, Charleston.
