Obituary

Sidney Reece Pritt, 2, left this world on the wings of an angel and entered the gates of heaven on May 11, 2010 after a long illness. Forevermore, our little Sidney will be safe and secure in the love and glory of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It is this family''s belief and comfort that in God''s time, we will be reunited with her for eternity.
Sidney was welcomed into the world on February 29, 2008 at Women''s and Children''s Hospital being cared for by many special doctors and nurses to whom we are forever grateful.
In recent months, Sidney was in the Children''s Hospital of Philadelphia. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all of the doctors and nurses that took care of her there. They became so much more than healthcare workers to Sidney and her parents. They are now much loved friends and family. We will always remember the way the nurses would stop in just to give Sidney a kiss or to tickle her, or the way the doctors took whatever time was needed to sit with the family to talk about her care. They will forever be in our hearts.
Although Sidney''s time on earth was not long, she was a blessing to all who knew her. Her tenacity was rare in a person, especially one so young. Her will to live amazed us all and her sweet disposition, even while suffering was an inspiration to anyone who came into contact with her. Today, Sidney is walking in fields of flowers, holding hands with Jesus.
Sidney leaves behind a large, loving family that includes her adoring parents, Chad and Jessica Edens Pritt; paternal grandparents, Mike and Beverly Pritt; maternal grandparents, Greg Edens and Lisa Hall Edens; paternal great-grandfather, Noble Pritt; maternal great-grandparents, Jack and Janet Edens and Judy and Keith Hall; maternal great-great-grandmother, Janet Harrison; aunts and uncles, Amanda and Scott Rhodes, Mark and Lora Hall and Zack Edens; and a cousin, Jasy Lilly all of Sissonville.
The Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 16 at Long and Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville with Pastor Robert Legg officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
A gathering of family and friends will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family would also like to thank Julie Lyon for her love and care of our baby girl.
