Shirley Ann Via, 77, of Charleston, WV, passed away at CAMC Memorial on Tuesday, March 27, 2024. She was born on March 9, 1947 in Charleston to the late Howard & Claudie Goff.

Shirley was a member of the Maranatha Baptist Church in Sissonville. She worked at Verizon for 33 years until her retirement. Shirley loved decorative painting and attending painting classes with her friends. Shirley battled cancer for three years. She was a fighter.

In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her two sisters and 13 brothers.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 56 years Bill Via of Sissonville, daughters Lynn Via of Sissonville and Michelle Fields (Clint) of Cottageville, grandchildren Sam Cox, Nate Cox, Madison Fouty (Jake), and Wayne Fields, siblings Wanda Schaff (Jack) of Stanford, NC, and Raymond Goff of Newfane, NY.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home with Pastor Kevan Bartlett officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories.

Visitation will be held from noon to 1:00 p.m. before the service at the funeral home.
