IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Shirley Wray
Larch
September 29, 1938 – March 20, 2025
Shirley Wray Larch (Straight), 86 of Charleston, WV, passed away March 20,2025 after a three-year battle with cancer.
It was God's will that she passed on the First Day of Spring as her true passion was gardening and she was known by all for her green-thumb. Most days you could find her knee deep in the dirt of her flower beds. She collected seeds and plant starts wherever she went and her beautiful flower gardens are a testament to that love. Her most proud accomplishment and true legacy is her family, especially her grand children and great- grandchildren. To Shirley, family was everything and she was always there for every milestone in their lives. As well, her smiling face was the first to greet customers for 35 years at the family business, Southern Building System's in Charleston.
She will rest peacefully amongst her flowers on the family farm in Roane County, WV.
She is preceded in death by her mother Dana Glendlene, father James Silas Eugene Straight, brother Elden Straight (Gladys), sister Helen Kay White (Wesley). She is survived by her companion of 40-years, Lloyd Shabdue, previous husband and father of her daughters, Ted L Larch. Daughters Ronda Shaw and Pamela Grimmett (Mark) Grand-children Dustin Shaw (Anna), Sean Sovine, Danielle Shaw Bryant (Chris), Brittany Sovine (Lord Walker). Great- grandchildren Miles and Maybelle Shaw, Liam and Koen Bryant, Reza and Dara Walker. Brothers and sisters James Straight (Dena), Bill Straight, Patty Jordan (Carmel), Marilyn Wilson (Larry), Donna Green, Linda Erwin, Sharon Kinder.
She leaves behind many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends and loved ones who will forever cherish her memory.
A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 26th, from 5:00pm - 7:00 pm at Long and Fisher Funeral Home in Sissonville, WV.
