Shirley Dawn Surface Haddox, 84, of Kenna, went to be with the Lord on August 17, 2023.

Shirley was born May 5, 1939 in Charleston to the late Howard F. and Winifred Vance Surface.  In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth C. Haddox; brothers, Clyde, Carlos, and Lonnie Surface; and a sister, Nora Tucker.

Shirley was a member of the Goldtown Community Church, the Elk River Church of the Nazarene, and the Sand Run Gospel Tabernacle.  She was the owner/operator of S&K Ceramics, enjoyed sewing, crafting of all types, and especially spoiling her grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are children, Kenny Haddox Jr. (Kim) of Winfield, Franklin Haddox (Tina) of Liberty, Deborah Dillard (Randall) of Given, Terri Haddox of Kenna, and Sue Bailey (Jamie) of Sissonville; 11 grandchildren, and 18.5 great-grandchildren.

Service will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at the Elk River Church of the Nazarene, 143 Dutch Rd, Charleston, WV 25302.  Burial will follow in Elk Hills Memorial Park, Charleston.

A gathering of family and friends will begin at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the Church.
