Sherwood "Woody" Cox, 81, of Charleston passed away peacefully on Friday, December 2, 2106 at Bradley Care Home.

He was the son of the late John and Estelle Cox. Woody was a graduate of Logan High School and served our country in the United States Air Force as a radar specialist in Alaska. He was a member of the Aldersgate United Methodist Church and United Methodist Men. Woody enjoyed history, old movies, fixing cars, watching races, and walking in the mall.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his son, Tony Cox; sister, Mary; and brothers, John Dale and Raymond.

Woody will be missed by his loving wife, Louise Cox; daughter, Christin Cox of Lakewood, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to service. Rev. Loretta Isaiah will be officiating.
