Shelva "Gene" Funk, 89, of Sissonville, WV passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at CAMC Memorial Hospice Care after a short illness. He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Funk, his parents John and Flora Funk, his stepson Rodney Rhodes, and his sister Paulette Moss.

Shelva retired from McJunkin Corp in 1996 after 26 years of service. In his younger days he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and stock car races and many memories are held dear of those good times.

A beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend to many, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son Doug (Becky), grandson Greg (Tabitha), great granddaughter Alayna, sisters Bonnie (Ben) Dennis and Dorothy (Danny) Moss.
