Sharon Hersman (Tackett), 76, of Charleston, went home to be with the Lord on November 20, 2023, at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston.

Born June 13, 1947, in Charleston, she was the daughter of the late Erman and Ezyleen Holmes Tackett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Bobby Ray Tackett, John Tackett; and sister, Betty Wolfe.

She is survived by her husband, Jake Hersman; sons, Jonathan (Tiffany) Hersman of Point
Pleasant, and Justin (Cherith) Hersman of Cross Lanes; brother, William Tackett; grandchildren, Sydney, Kennedy (Jonathan and Tiffany), Jericho and Haddie (Justin and Cherith) Hersman; one of her best friends, Jamie Crouch, who played a crucial role in Sharon's life, especially with this third bout of cancer.  The family will be forever grateful for her friendship.

Although Sharon did not attend church she has professed to being saved earlier in life. Sharon loved to walk in healthier days, and cheer on WVU football. She was a hardworking, loving, caring, and strong woman who will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 - 12:00 p.m. on Friday, December 1, 2023 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow in Goff McClanahan Cemetery in Sissonville.
