Sarah Lee Shamblin, 67, of Advent passed away peacefully on Friday, February 19, 2016 at Hubbard Hospice House West surrounded by her loving family.

Born December 18, 1948 at Goose Creek on Cicerone, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Samuel Taylor and Reva Huffman. Sarah was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading and quilting.

Sarah will be missed by her loving husband of 45 years, Ralph K. Shamblin; sons, Chris D. Shamblin and Daniel S. Shamblin (Shara); brothers, John Taylor, Samuel Taylor, Jr., and Steve Taylor; sister, Jean Ann Mullins, Kay Hackney, Judy Casto, and Debbie Taylor-Richardson; grandchildren, Molly Shamblin, Tate Riley, Brenna Riley, Nola Riley, Blake Riley, Eliza Shamblin, and Linzy Shamblin; and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Monday, February 22, 2016 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to service. Entombment will immediately follow at Floral Hills Garden of Memories.
