Sara Mae Walker McMillion, 82 of Charleston, WV passed away on February 24, 2016.
Sara was born in Tupper''s Creek, WV on September 25, 1933 to Enos Sherman Walker and Sylvia Marion Morton Walker. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Dal Jones and brother Sherman Walker.
She loved everything about nature including flowers and birds. She had a deep love for her children, grandchildren, neighbors and friends. She was very proud of having a hand in raising many nieces, nephews and other children. Sara was also honored to be a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She is survived by daughter, Caren Whatcott of Salt Lake City, UT; son Eric (Susan) McMillion of Tornado, WV; grandchildren, Brianne (Stefen) Bolander, Megan Whatcott, Mandy (Casey) Jones, Kayley (Jeff) Burnham, CJ McMillion, and Johnathon Sebastian McMillion; great-grandchild, Zoey Joy Jones. Sara is also survived by her brother Sterling (Mary Lou) Walker and many beloved neighbors and friends, including very special friend Barb Smith.
Graveside services will be held at the Walker Family Cemetery in Tupper''s Creek on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. The graveside service will be conducted by Bishop Eldon R. Larsen of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Services conducted by Long and Fisher Funeral Home of Sissonville, WV.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to The Kanawha County Humane Society, 1248 Greenbrier St., Charleston, WV (304) 342-1575 to further Sara''s love of animals.
