Samuel Gary Cobb, 77, of Sissonville, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at Cedar Ridge Center.

Born on November 2, 1948, in Charleston, West Virginia, Samuel lived a quiet and simple life. Though he was blind, he faced life's challenges with resilience and found comfort in the relationships he built with those who cared for him. He will be remembered for his gentle spirit and the lasting impact he made on the lives of those who knew him.

Samuel was preceded in death by his foster mothers, Helen O'Coner and Gertrude Keaton.

He leaves behind his foster brothers, Larry Abshire and Darrell Keaton, who will cherish his memory.

A memorial service to celebrate Samuel's life will be held at Bethany Baptist Church, 1512 Greenbrier Street, Charleston, West Virginia 25311. Service details will be announced by the family.
