Ruth Ann Kiser Rohde, 48, of Cross Lanes went home to be with God on September 4, 2009 in Hubbard Hospice House. She and Jesus fought a courageous battle against ovarian cancer.
She was an RN and worked at CAMC General, Surgery, for 30 years. She was a member of God''s Lighthouse, Charleston. She is with Jesus now, her body healed, with no more pain or tears. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. No one comes unto the Father but by him. Ruthie''s wish was that everyone accepts Jesus as their Lord and Savior. He is the only way to heaven. She also hoped that all women learn the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer. This cancer whispers, so listen closely.
Ruthie wanted to thank her family and friends who supported her through her illness. Their love, prayers and support were endless. She could not have gone through her illness without them.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Danny M. Rohde at home; daughter, Meagan E. Kiser of Sissonville; and son, Matthew S. Kiser of at home.
A celebration of Ruthie''s life will be 4pm Tuesday, September 8 at Long and Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville with Reverend Mayford Witt officiating. A graveside service will be 2pm Wednesday, September 9 in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville.
A gathering of family and friends will be 6-9pm Monday at the Funeral Home.
Ruthie asked that in lieu of flowers donations be made to God''s Lighthouse, 4151 Washington Street West, Charleston, WV 25313.
