Charles "Rusty" Bruce, 69, of Charleston went to be with the Lord April 18, 2009 in CAMC Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
Rusty was retired from the coal industry having worked as a cutting machine technician, and miner. He was also a member of the UMWA.
Rusty is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Glenna Bruce at home; daughter, Lori Wramp and her husband, Ian, of Hawaii; sister, Mary Lou Snodgrass of Detroit, Mich.; brothers, Jack Berman of Virginia, Phillip Bruce of Indiana, Bobby Ray Bruce of Pennsylvania, and Steven Waselchalk of Chesapeake; grandchildren, Kaylee, Logan, and soon to be arriving, Emily Wramp, all of Hawaii.
The Funeral Service will be 11am Thursday, April 23 at Long and Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville with Reverend Fairley McCormick officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.
A gathering of family and friends will be 6-8pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
