Ruby G. Parsons, 94, of Charleston passed away September 23, 2010 in Sweetbriar Personal Care Home after a long illness.
Ruby was a lifelong resident of Kanawha County and was the last surviving child of the late James and Icy Pritt.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Howard Parsons; sisters, Francis Walker, Ernie Reed, Mernia Coleman and Olive Hinzman; brothers, Clement, Guy, James, Vernon and Lawrence Pritt.
Left to cherish her memory are children, William H. Parsons Jr. of Baton Rouge, LA, James R. Parsons and his wife, Betty, of Dunbar, David Parsons and his wife, Margie, of Cross Lanes and Judy Harpold of St. Albans; 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The Funeral Service will be 11am Monday, September 27 at Long and Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville with Pastor Jim Edens and Pastor Bob Fields officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville.
A gathering of family and friends will be 6-8pm Sunday at the funeral home.
