Ruby F. Buchanan, 98, of Charleston passed away June 18, 2012. She was born November 10, 1913 in Hughes Creek, WV to the late Eli and Hattie Jarrett.
She worked as a nurse''s aid at both Charleston and Cherry Log, GA for 20 years . She was a former resident of Charleston Arbor Apartments and resided at Cedar Ridge Nursing Home for the last 11 years. Always close to her side were son Tony Chapman and wife Marty, granddaughter Shannon Boggs and husband Larry, and great grandsons Daelen and Carson Boggs.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by brother, Charles E. Jarrett.
She is survived by son, Tony Chapman of Sissonville; daughters, Gail Dove of Sissonville and Erma Denton of Brush Prairie, WA; 5 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren.
Services will be 2 PM Thursday June 28, 2012 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville.
Friends may call from 1 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
