Roxanne Jeanne "Rocky" Tate Carpenter, 61, of Charleston, passed away on August 9, 2022. Born on April 15, 1961, she was the daughter of the late Hoy Lawrence Tate and Violet Virginia Holmes. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Ray Carpenter; sisters, Lucille and Wyonia Tate; niece, Bridgette Jordan and nephew, Allen Jordan. Rocky is survived by her son, Christopher (Carri) Haynes; brothers, Monte (Linda) Tate and Roland (Patty) Tate; grandchildren, C.J. and Brittany Haynes; great-grandson, Preston Reynolds; nieces, Missy Tate, Candy Stowers and Monita; nephews, Monte Jr. and J.R. Tate; great-niece, Jessica (Scotty Burdette) Jordan, and her beloved cats and dog, Lilly. Rocky was incredibly talented when it came to arts and crafts and enjoyed glass etching and paper quilling. She also enjoyed fishing and loved her pets and spending time with her family. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 4:00 P.M. on Monday, August 15, 2022 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home in Sissonville.
