Roxalena Hissom Hamer, 89, of Charleston passed away peacefully on March 14, 2018 at Hubbard Hospice House.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Earl Hissom, Sr. and Tressa Hissom; nine siblings; daughter, Candy Drennen; and grandson, Matthew Drennen.

Left to cherish Roxalena memory is her  children, Tom Hamer, Rick Hamer (Peggy), Terry Hamer, and Rock Hamer (Lorrie Harman); grandchildren, Jamie Hamer (Christa Edwards Wright), Crystal Hamer, Benji Hamer, and Colt Hamer; step granddaughter, Victoria McGinnis; great grandchildren, Kaleigh and Kaden Hamer.

Roxie's friendly wave will be missed by her neighbors on her street as they drive by. She loved people and all referred to her as "The Mom on the Hill".

A celebration of her life will be held at 2pm on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Hissom Tabernacle on 1301 Pennsylvania Ave in Charleston.
