Ronald David Thaxton, 58, of Charleston passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Hubbard Hospice House West surrounded by his loving family.

He was the son of the late Frank and Mary Thaxton. Ron was a retiree of CAMC after 27 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed riding his Harley and side by side. Ron had a witty sense of humor which was enjoyed by his family and coworkers. He was a member of KVPPA with his wife.

In addition to his parents, Ron is preceded in death by his two brothers, Eddie and Gary L. Thaxton.

Ron will be missed by his loving wife, Renee Thaxton, daughter, Shanna Rampino; sisters, Pam Parsons (Jack), Jeanie Huffman (Ed), and Marsha Cowden (Jim); a brother, Steve A. Thaxton (Anna); and grandson, Bryston Staten; and a host of nieces, nephews, and family.

Funeral service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 12:30pm. Pastor Randy Campbell will be officiating.

Burial will immediately take place at the Thaxton New Family Cemetery on Wolfpen Drive, Sissonville.
