Obituary

Ronald Milford Monday, 96 of Sissonville, West Virginia on August 27, 2015, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and sing lead with the angelic quartets as he did in his younger days. He was a World War II Army Aircorp veteran and retired from Union Carbide, with over 30 years of service, as an electrician on the Island. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Otho and Winnie Garnes Monday, two brothers Adrian and Bernard, three Sister-in-laws and nephew Billie Ray Monday.
Ronald is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Edna and eight children; Gail Fisher (David), of Cross Lanes; Ron Monday (Cathy) of Cincinnati OH; Tim Monday (Jo) of Cross Lanes; Larry Monday (Bernadette) of Louisville, KY; Leah Henson (Dean) of Sissonville; Lisa Casdorph (Jim) of Charleston; Laun Monday (Amy) of Poca; and Lori Goff (Jeff) of Statesville, NC. Also surviving is his brother, Carroll Monday of Charleston.
Grandchildren: Scot Fisher (Crickett); Julie Fisher Peterson (John); Melissa Fisher Sampson (Brian); Mike Monday (Jaime): Chris Monday (Christina); Stephanie Monday Penner (Mike); Chad Monday (Angela); Kami Monday Pritt (C.J.); Jessica Monday; Andy Henson (Lynn); Nathanial Henson (Laura); Summer Henson Drake (Brandon); Derek Casdorph (Tiffany); Jimmy Casdorph (Micah); Lindsay Casdorph Quesenberry (Tim); Allie Renee Monday; and Cody Goff (Samantha).
Great-Grandsons: Jackson Pritt, Caleb Casdorph, Andrew Peterson, Van Sampson, Zachary Penner , and soon-to-arrive Baby Casdorph. Great- Granddaughters: Allie Monday, Kaylie Penner, Hannah Monday, Caroline Monday, Brooke Pritt, Jaelyn Jarrett, Mackenzie Casdorph, Addison Casdorph, Haley Sampson, Tori Peterson, Reagan Drake, Amelia Henson. Verity Quesenberry, and Leyla Goff.
Ronald also leaves behind nieces, nephews, brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, his many cousins and lifelong friends.
The family wish to give special thank you and appreciation to the Home Care Givers, who allowed their Dad to stay in the family home until he needed to join caregivers at the Marmet Center, all of whom touched his life in the last few years and days with loving compassion and caring.
Visitation will be from 2-4pm on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at Fisher United Methodist Church. Funeral Services will follow at 4 pm with Pastor Jimmy Casdorph officiating.
Committal service will be held at 10am on Monday, August 31, 2015 at Floral Hills Garden of Memories with Military Rites provided by American Legion Post 61 and representatives from the U.S. Army.
In lieu of flowers, a cash donation will be accepted at the church door for Mary''s Garden activity fund for the aid of the patients.
