Roland Hope, 91, of Sissonville , went to be with the Lord on July 13, 2010.
He was retired from E.I. DuPont Company. He served in WW II at Omaha Beach Campaign on D Day June 6, 1944 and received the French Medal of Valor.
He was preceded in death by a daughter: Mary Elizabeth Myers. He was the best husband and father any family could ever have.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years Maysel Hope of Sissonville Sons: Paul Hope (Chrissie) of Elkview Steve Hope (Rita) of St. Albans Robert Hope of Goldtown James Hope (Dreama) of Derricks Creek Daughter: Pat Moles (Perry) of Charleston 17 Grandchildren 16 Great Grandchildren Private family service will be at Long and Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville
Burial will follow in Floral Hills Gardens of Memories, Sissonville
