Sgt. Roger Lee Jones, 74 of Sissonville, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at CAMC General surrounded by his loving family.

Roger was the son of the late Obadiah and Elsie Jones. He served our country in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War. Roger was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing; as well as attending Critter Dinners, Richwood Ramp Festival, Road Kill Festival; and a love for bluegrass music.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Johnny D. Jones.

Roger will be missed by his loving wife of 51years, Sharon L. Jones; children, Michael J. Jones (Kimberly), Roger L. Jones, Jr. (Kristi), Brian S. Jones (Melinda), Matthew W. Jones (Amy), Amanda D. Shamblin (Charles), and Angie L. Jones; grandchildren, Sarah, Savannah, Cheyenne, Austin, Ashley, Ethan, Autumn, and Alden; great granddaughter, Drucilla.

A celebration of his life will be held at 11am on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Long & Fisher Funeral.
