Obituary

Robert L. Vandale Sr., 89, of Charleston, went to be with the Lord October 15, 2007 at Valley Center after a short illness.
Robert was a retired Chemical Operator for Union Carbide, South Charleston. He was a member of Mountain Mission Church, Charleston. He was also a member of the Beni Kedem Shrine Center, Scottish Rite Temple, and Masonic Lodge 153, Charleston.
Preceded in death by: Parents, Rector D. and Margaret Vandale.
Survived by: Loving wife of 48 years, Arminia Vandale at home; Son, Robert Lee Vandale Jr. and wife Phyllis of Scott Depot; Daughters, Sally Vandale of Charleston, and Kay Vandale of St. Albans; Step-Son, Fred Mangus and wife Irene of Charleston; Step-Daughters, Carolyn Chabot of Charleston, Judy Skeen and Husband John of Parkersburg, and Deborah Wilson of Charleston; Sister, Nancy Pippin and Husband Bill of Charleston; Brother, Jim Vandale and wife Diane of Greer, SC; one Grandson, and eight step-grandchildren.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11am Wednesday, October 17 at Long and Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville with Rev. Fairley McCormick officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville with Masonic Graveside Rites provided by Lodge 153, Charleston.
Friends may call 6-8pm Tuesday at the Funeral Home.
