Robert "Bob" Harlow, 80, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2012 surrounded by his family. He was a member of the Air force having served in the Korean War. He retired from McJunkin Corp. with 37 years of service but remained active in church and civic activities such as the Lion''s Club.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents Fred W. and Bernice Beymer Harlow.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Vieva and his 4 daughters, Becky and husband Ronnie Bridgette of Cross Lanes, Janice and husband Art Standish of Kanawha City, Linda and husband Gary Basilo of Phoenix, AZ, Julie and husband Tim McQuain of Winston-Salem, NC. The light of his life were his 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, Candi and husband Steve, Caitlyn, Ryan, Travis and wife Marsha, Kailey, Kade, Kenzie, Tara and husband Luke, Anna, Grace, Bryan and husband Amanda, Ben, Cate, Matt and wife Taylor, Jeff and wife Annie, Own, Ava, Anthony, Rachel, Jason, David, Elizabeth, Scott and Claire; uncles, Robert Beymer and wife Sue, Joe Beymer and Wife Georgia; sister-in-laws, Virginia Vance and Helen Marsh and husband Bill.
The family expressly thanks Dr. Jim Frame, Dr. Vy, Jane Bailey and Debbie Hall of Heartland, as well as a host of friends and staff for extra care, support and love during his short illness.
Service will be 2 PM Saturday December 8, 2012 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Sissonville with Pastors Brad & Stefanie Bennet officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville. Friends may call from noon until the time of the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Aldersgate United Methodist Chruch, the New David Lee Cancer Treatment Center, CAMC Foundation or the charity of your choice.
