Robert "Bob" Arnold Tate, Sr., 83, of Charleston passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Thomas Memorial Hospital.

Born June 18, 1930 in Kanawha County, he was the son of the late John L. and Laura Tate.

Bob is survived by his significant other of 16 years Audra Wyatt; daughter, Irene "Lisa" Burdette; sister, Shirley Burdette; granddaughter, Amber Asbury; and great granddaughter, Brieanna Asbury.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Irene "Cricket" M. Tate; son, Robert A. Tate, Jr; and two brothers, James Hayes Tate and Charles Tate.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8pm on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Long and Fisher Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 1pm at Long and Fisher Funeral Home on Friday, April 11, 2014. Interment will immediately follow at Layne Cemetery (Kanawha 2 mile).
