Robert "Bob" William Shannon, 64 of Boulder, Colorado went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 25, 2014; unexpectedly at Good Samaritan Hospital after surgery.

He was a native of Winfield, graduate of Sissonville High School, and a former union carbide employee. Bob and his family traveled; living in several states before settling in Colorado and working at Suncor in Denver. He loved spending time with family and in the outdoors. Bob was very much like his father, he never met a stranger.

Bob was a loving husband, best friend, and strength to his surviving wife Sherri and devoted father to his surviving son Michael. He is survived by his sisters, Janet (Travis) Hocum, Diana Shannon, and Debbie Shannon; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

He has joined his parents, Robert Russell and Catherine Louise Shannon with Christ.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8pm on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 11am on Friday, December 5, 2014 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.
