Robert "Bob" J. Hackney, 82, of Sissonville, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, January 19, 2018. .
Born in Jackson county, he was the son of the late Owens and Addie Hackney. Bob enjoyed antique cars and attending cruse-ins with his wife. He attended Pocatalico Community Church.

In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by a son Jay Hackney; a sister, Gladys Kessinger and her husband Russell; and brother, Joe Hackney.

Bob will be missed by his loving wife of 18 years, Brenda Hackney; children, Sherri Cheak, and Amy Fogerty (Ramie); step children, Herbert Cheak and Kimberly J. Waters (Jason); sister, Mildred Mairs (Buddy); grandchildren, Jennifer, Kaitlyn, Hunter, Abbigail, and Noah; step grandchildren, Brittany and Cody; great grandchildren, Justin and Santana; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to service. Pastor Buddy Mairs will be officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Beane Cemetery, Sissonville.
