Rita Gay Waite, 59, of Charleston passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at CAMC Memorial surrounded by her loving family.

She was the daughter of Greta Runion and the late Floyd Runion. Rita enjoyed attending Pocatalico Community Church, working at the food pantry, and helping everyone she knew. She loved spending time with family, going long walks, and taking pictures of the sky.

Rita will be missed by her loving husband of 33 years, Terry Waite; children, Daniel Stephen Taylor, Jr., Christina Sue Taylor, Terry Allen Waite, Kevin Douglas Nicholas, and Letitia Taylor; sister, Angie and Nancy; brother, David and LeRoy; and granddaughter, Maleah Riley Taylor; and numerous family and friends.

Funeral services will be at 11am on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Pocatalico Community Church with visitation one hour prior to service. Pastor Buddy Mairs will be officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.
