Ricky Slater, 58, of Charleston passed away February 16, 2023 unexpectedly at home.  He was preceded in death by his father, Orville Slater and siblings, Anita, Stanley and Ken Slater.

He is survived by his parents, Barbara and Chester McCutcheon at home.  Siblings, Kimberly (Scott) Parsons of Charleston, Matt (Lori) McCutcheon of Cross Lanes and "His girls" as he called them, Brianna and Taylor McCutcheon at home.  Nieces and nephews, Billy Davis and his son, Bryce; Brandon, Cory and Cody Smith; Skylar Myers and her children, Bentley and Oaklee; Jaden Walker and Caston McCutcheon.  He is also survived by a special aunt, Josephine Wilson and several other aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral service will be Monday, February 20th at 1pm at Long and Fisher Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.  Burial will be private.
