Obituary
Richard "Ricky" Eugene Carpenter, 55, of Sissonville, passed away after a long illness on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, with family at his bedside.
Ricky was employed at Young''s Floral in Charleston and was a Marine Corps veteran.
Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Joe Carpenter Sr. and Rosemary Carpenter of Sissonville.
Ricky is survived by his partner of 15 years, David Morrison; sons and spouses, Conrad and Emily Carpenter of Charleston and Timmy and Latisha Carpenter of Charleston; his granddaughters, Brianna, Allison, and Courtney were the joys of his life; sisters, Carolyn Mains of South Charleston and Susan Danials of Charleston; brothers, Harry Carpenter of Charleston, Billy Carpenter Jr. of Cross Lanes and Robert "Bobby" Carpenter of Sissonville; and several nieces and nephews.
Service will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Long and Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville, with Reverend David Horn officiating. Friends and family may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Funeral service will follow immediately after visitation.
Arrangements are in the care of Long and Fisher Funeral Home.
