Richard Roland Mercer 83, of Charleston. Passed away December 19 ^th with his family by his side after a short illness. Richard loved history, traveling and being with family, friends, and church. He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter Debra Williams. Left to cherish his memories his loving wife Karen, daughter Tracey (Randall) Patterson, grandchildren Kyla, Zach Mcpeters, T.J., Holly Patterson, Chase and Kayla Patterson of Murfreesbro TN, and Whitnie Williams of Knoxville TN. 3 great grandchildren Brooks and Deacon Patterson and Maevyn Patterson. God child Grayson Fisher and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 with Pastor Mike Harper officiating.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 pm at Long and Fisher Funeral Home. Burial services following Funeral at Emma Chapel Cemetery.
