Ray Walton Guinn, 93, of Nitro passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Hubbard Hospice House.

He was the son of the late Cozy and Maycell Guinn Smith. Ray served our country during WWII and Korean War in the United States Navy. He enjoyed attending his naval ship reunions on the USS New Jersey and was a plank board ship owner. Ray was an avid WVU Mountaineer Fan. Above all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Left to cherish Ray's memory are his children, Michael Ray Guinn (Joann), Patrick James Guinn (Marianne), Catherine Mae Larch, and Pamela Deanne Hinst (James); 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents Ray is preceded in death by his loving wife, Eleanor Mae Guinn; son, Robert Ralph Guinn; and step father, Orville R. Smith.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 2pm with visitation beginning at noon. Burial will immediately follow at Floral Hills Garden of Memories with Military rites.
