Kenneth "Gauger" Blosser
On April 24, 2011 Kenneth "Gauger" Blosser of Sissonville took his last ride down the highway of life. He lost the battle with his second bout of colon cancer.
Born March 7, 1959 in Bossier City, LA, he was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Hugh Blosser and maternal grandparents, Earl and Ressie Barnett.
His last employer was B & J Welding, where he was one of the original Good Time Gang. His love of the trucking industry was known by all who knew him.
Left to celebrate his life are his wife of 30 years, Kathy; daughters, Deanna Smailes, Jessica Smailes, Jennifer(Craig) Pitts, Brandi Smailes, and son Kenny Blosser all of Sissonville; special grandson, Dylan; grandsons, Randy, Chase, Chayten, Nathan, Chevy, Jarad, Rowdy and Jordan; granddaughters, Chelsie, Lacee, and Lottie; father-in-law, James H. Smailes Sr.; sister-in-law, Pam(John) Dawson of Sissonville; brother-in-law, James H. Smailes Jr. all of Charleston; mother and step-father, Betty and Glen Peters; step-brother, Glen Peters; step-sister, Laurie Peters all of Tallmadge, OH; aunts and uncle, Ida Mae and Bob White of Carlisle, PA, Estie of Birch River and Lula Belle of Morgantown; several other aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews.
Gauger had many special trucking buddies and they know who they are.
The family would like to thank James H. Smailes Sr., Billy Jarrell, Chris Reed, Philip "Kool-Aide" Deel and numerous others for their generosity and kindness in the family''s time of need.
A gathering of family and friends was held on April 27, 2011 at Long and Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville.
