Rae Jean Moore, 81, of Sissonville passed away peacefully on Saturday,
February 28, 2015 at CAMC Memorial surrounded by her loving family.
Born August 3, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Goldie Lester.
Rae Jean attended Raleigh County Schools until 1945, was a graduate of South Charleston High School class of 1953; and attended classes at Charleston School of Commerce. She worked for Blossom Dairy and Broughton Dairy. In Rae Jean''s later years she worked for Frankenburgers, Kelly''s Men Store, and Schwabe May as a seasonal gift wrapper.
She volunteered at Sissonville Jr. High and Sissonville High School. Rae Jean was a faithful member of Valley Christian Assembly. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and traveling with her husband.
Rae Jean is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Donald Tex Moore; two daughters, Tammy Lynn Davies (Clark) and Kim Wilson (Bob); a grandson, Matthew Wilson; and a host of cousins.
Visitation will be from 6pm to 8pm on Friday, March 6, 2015 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home with Pastor Phillip Dunn and Lawrence Fowler officiating.
Entombment will immediately follow at Floral Hills Garden of Memories.
