Radie Allie Reed, 92 of Sissonville, moved from this earthly world to her heavenly home on Easter Sunday morning, April 5, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital. Radie was born to Oscar and Alma Higginbotham Phillips on December 6, 1922 in Charleston, and lived in Kanawha County her entire life. She was reborn into the family of God at age of 13 and remained faithful until death. One of her greatest thrills in life would be on Mother''s Day when most of her children would join her in church and worship as a family.

Radie is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rev. Joe B. Reed; son, Roger Lee Reed; and grand-daughter, Tammy Denise Reed; brother, Allen Russell Phillips and a sister Sarah Helen Boggess.

She is survived by her children, Ruth M. Breeden (Paul), Connie J. Beane, Donna G. Thaxton (Rex), Jennifer L. Reedy and companion, Frank Johnson, Steven P. (Beth), L. Annette Berkhouse (Steve), Pastor Dana E. (Brenda Jo) all of Sissonville, Dennis A. (Debbie), of Powhattan, Virginia, Phyllis J. Newhouse (Denny) of Elkview, Brenda M. Thompson (L. Allen) of Kenna, Sammy J. (Sharon) of Proctorville, Ohio, and her sister Ava Blanche Reed of Sissonville. She leaves 33 grandchildren, 46 great grand children, and 6 great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8pm on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be at 11am on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home with Rev. L. Allen "Butch" Thompson and Pastor Dana E. Reed officiating. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Andy and Mathew Berkhouse, Chris Thaxton, Jeremy, Joe, and Jason Reed.

Interment will immediately follow at Atwood Reed Cemetery, Second Creek Road in Sissonville.
