We regret to announce the passing of Paulette Evans, 72, of Charleston, WV, on June 17, 2022. Paulette passed away in the care of the Hospice House in Charleston, with loved ones by her side following a sudden decline in a prolonged fight with cancer. In life, Paulette was the widow and loving wife of Thomas Wayne Evans to whom she was married for 51 years. She was retired from Charleston Area Medical Center where she had worked for more than 20 years. She was the most loving mother and grandmother. Paulette was preceded in death by her parents, William Ammi and Hermie Gertrude Haynes, and was the last living of her nine siblings. She is survived by her sons, Michael Shane and Charles A. Evans, and grandkids Lane and Oliver. She also leaves behind many friends and extended family members. Paulette was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Paulette requested for no services to be held. Burial will be private at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Sissonville. Long & Fisher Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
