Paul Samuel Lowe, 76, of Sissonville, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord, on Thursday, October 7, 2021. He was born October 26, 1944.
Paul graduated from Sissonville High School in 1962 and was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. Paul retired as a truck driver from the Rite Aid Corporation, and has enjoyed his life since, with his wife, Mary Kathryn Lowe. He enjoyed their annual cabin stays at Babcock State Park and fishing and just being outdoors.
Paul didn't know a stranger, he had a joke for everyone he came in contact with, and if you ever spent any time with him, you knew of his love of music, which varied from the 1950's/60's music he grew up listening to, older country music, Elvis & gospel music. Paul loved his family, was very proud of his wife, kids, grandchildren and great grandchild, and his brother Richard and family in Kentucky. Paul grew up during a time when things were much simpler than today. He always told stories of working on his grandfather's farm and country store that was on land across from Poca River. Customers would pay him a nickel to take them across the river and back to shop at the store.
Paul was preceded in death by his father, Russell Samuel Lowe, and his mother, Virginia Mildred (Duff) Lowe.
Paul left behind a wife of 21 years, Mary Kathryn (Carpenter) Lowe. Also, his children, Paula Michelle (Dana) Atkinson, Mark Duane (Missy) Lowe, and Stepson Timothy Carter, all of Charleston, WV. Grandchildren, Katelyn Rose Lowe, Austin Duane Lowe, Alexxa Danielle Atkinson, Step Grandchildren, Tristan Carter, and Chaz Carter. Great Grandson, Dante Spratt.
Brother, Richard (Sandra) Lowe, of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, along with niece and nephews, Laura Parris, David Lowe, Kevin Lowe and their families. Also, the rest of the Lowe family, and many friends Paul made over the years. Paul will truly be missed by everyone that knew him.
Services will be at Long & Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville, West Virginia on Wednesday, October 13th at 2PM with visitation from 1-2PM. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Cemetery, next to Long & Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville, West Virginia.
