Patsy Ann Laney, 68, of Sissonville was called up to be an angel with the lord on Dec. 21, 2015.

Patsy was born January 29th 1947 to the late Charles Kessell and Ruth Spencer. Patsy was a graduate of Sissonville High School and a hard working waitress for the first half of her life. "Maw maw boat" as she was called by her grandchildren, was a homemaker who loved camping, fishing, gardening, and boating with the family the second half of her life. She was the light in everyone's darkness who knew her and will be missed by all.

Patsy was preceded in death by her husband Paul D. Laney and her little ones Baby, Scooby, and Peanut.

Left to cherish her memory are sister, Donna Lawrence; she was a loving mother and rock of the family to children, Tiki Young, Brentford Young I, and Michelle Gray; grandchildren, Andy Young, Heather Young, Brentford Young II, Charity Jones, Richard Jones II, and Emily; great-grandchildren, Trinity Young, Trenton Young, Kadence Young, Kaleigh Farley Young, Zane Young, Bryson Rose; and little ones Alfi and Brodi; and former husband Larry Young.

Service will be 7pm December 28 at Long & Fisher Funeral Funeral Home, Sissonville with Pastor Stan Miller officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
