Patricia L. Smith, 86, of Ripley passed away peacefully on Monday, September 4, 2017 at CAMC General Hospital.

She was born August 10, 1931 in Cabell County and was the daughter of the late David and Grace Napier. Patricia attended school in Cabell County and was a member of the Fisher Chapel Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Thurman Smith; brother, Thomas, Gene, George, and Carl Smith; and sisters, Mary Etta and Joann.

Patricia will be missed by her son, Steven Smith and his wife Margaret; daughters, Donna Shamblin, and Patty Reed and her husband Wayne; brother, Donald Cobb (Faye); grandchildren, Carissa Landis (Clifton), Jonathan Shamblin (Keri), Jessica Holmes (Travis), Timothy Shamblin (Amanda), Jacob Reed (Cheyenne), Caleb Reed (Ashley), David Smith, and Jackie Smith; great grandchildren, Kelsey, Madyson, Gage Emilee, Brooklyn, Jake, Cooper, Elizabeth, and Kelsey.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Friday, September 8, 2017 at Long & Fisher Funeral Home with visitation two hours prior to service. Pastor Bob Ball will be officiating. Internment will immediately follow at Floral Hills Garden of Memories.
