Obituary

Patricia Ann "Pat" Fisher (Petrella), 85, of Sissonville, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2025.

Born on April 9, 1940, in Charleston, West Virginia, Pat was deeply rooted in her faith, family, and heritage. She was the beloved wife of Jerry Fisher and a devoted mother to her son John Fisher and his wife Andrea, and to her daughter-in-law Marsha, wife of her late son Ralph Fisher.

Pat's life was a testament to unwavering faith and service. The most important thing in her life was her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was an ordained minister and served as Pastor of the King's River Worship Center (Kanawha City campus) for several years. Alongside her husband Jerry, she dedicated nearly five decades to serving in their local church, touching countless lives through her ministry, leadership, and soul winning. Pat loved studying God's word and had a passion for leading others to Him, a calling she fulfilled with grace and devotion.

Proud of her Italian heritage, Pat often reminisced about the "good old days" spent with the Petrella Family in Boomer, West Virginia. She cherished memories with her cousins Jenny, Genevieve, Mafalda, Angelina, Mary, and Meg, and held a special place in her heart for all her Italian uncles including Charlie and Freddie, who "cared for her like a daughter". Her connection to the Petrella family extended across generations, as she remained close with her relatives and enjoyed visits from Mike and outings with Rick and Sue to Italian restaurants, celebrating the culture and traditions she held dear.  Pat was most proud of her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them and celebrating their accomplishments.

Pat had a zest for life and welcomed many into her home to learn about Jesus. She loved to cook, decorate, and shop, and found great joy in spending time with her lifelong friends Pam and Greg, Marylyn, Bill and Anna, and her "sisters" Marykay, Brenda, and Tina. Her home was a place of comfort and joy, filled with laughter, delicious meals, and heartfelt conversations.  She also enjoyed spending Holidays with Jerry's side of the family and loved her sisters Nancy and Carol and their families dearly.  Visits to South Carolina with Ralph and Marsha's family for southern hospitality was her favorite vacation destination.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Adelina "Nellie" Petrella, and her cherished son, Ralph Fisher. Her legacy of love, faith, and family continues through those who knew and cherished her.  May her memory bring comfort and peace to all who were blessed to know her.

A celebration of Pat's life will be held on October 15, 2025 with a Visitation at 11:00 AM and a Funeral Service at 12:00 PM at Long and Fisher Funeral Home at 6837 Sissonville Drive, WV.
