Owens Avery Haynes, 80, of Romance passed away Friday, March 16, 2012 in CAMC Memorial Hospital following a long illness.
Owens was born December 29, 1931 at Romance. He was a retiree from Orders and Haynes Paving Co., after many years of dedicated service. He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather that will truly be missed.
He was the son of the late William Spotwood and Finetta Belle Comer Haynes; stepmother, Emily Esta Richard Haynes. He was preceded in death by his wife, Foe Ardella Stapleton Haynes; and three brothers and three sisters.
Left to cherish his memory are daughter, Deborah K. Haynes Fisher and her husband, Stanley, of Romance; sons, Thomas A. Haynes and his wife, Tammy, of Kenna and Jeffry S. Haynes and his wife, Sheila, of Romance; sister, Sylvia C. Haynes Marion of Romance; brother, Austin C. Haynes of Columbia, S.C.; grandchildren, Chadwick D. Fisher, Taylor B. Fisher, Nathaniel T. Haynes, Amy L. Haynes, Lillie B. Haynes, Danielle E. Haynes, Gabrielle M. Haynes and Megan R. Starcher; and great grandchildren, Avery E. Kay and Owen N. Haynes.
The Funeral Service will be 1pm Monday, March 19 at Long and Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville with Reverend David Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville.
A gathering of family and friends will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
